BEAUTIFUL ROUMANIAN GIRL CHOSEN A ROUMANIAN FROM EAST
SERBIA

Alongside with the girls from Banat, girls from the East of
Serbia participated now for the second time at the
traditional national competition ROUMANIAN MISS OF SERBIA
2006. The Society for Roumanian language from Vojvodina has
sent to the Federation of Romanians in Serbia (FRS) an
invitation to participate this year also. In front of the
organisation of the FRS, six girls from eastern Serbia ( two
from Negotin municipality, two from Zaječar municipality and
two from Bor municipality)
departed for Vladimirovac near Alibunar.
One can acknowledge that there was enough place for the
contestants, their choreographer Milica Nešić, the piper
Dojčin Savić, camerman of the Timoc Press production
Ljubiša Barbulović and others, in the little van travelling
from Timočka krajina. Beside the already mentioned, among
the Romanians from Timočka krajina was also Zaviša Žurž, the
member of the jury and member of the National council of the
Romanian national minority.
Fourteen girls entered the competition, eight from Vojvodina
and the next six from East Serbia: Suzana Stepanović from
Plavna (Negotin), Manuela Pacić from Plavna (Negotin),
Snežana Jovanović from Velika Jasikova (Zaječar), Danijela
Giceranović from Zaječar, Valentina Makulović from Bučje
(Bor) and Valentina Gudić from Brestovac (Bor). The winner
was Valentina Makulović from Bor, who was awarded a trip to
Budapest lasting three days by the „Bon Voyage“ tourist
agency. The second place was won by Valentina Gudić from the
same municipality, from Brestovac, and the third by Olivija
Aleksandra Stngu from Alibunar.
The manifestation was organised by the Society for Roumanian
language from Vojvodina, with the help of the National
council of the Roumanian national minority and the sponsors
AGROŽIV Company, Tourist agency BON VOYAGE, with
the patronage of the township council Alibunar and local
community Vladimirovac in the packed up auditorium of the
Cultural Centre.
